We now carry out an instore diabetes service. Our fully trained pharmacy team will check your blood glucose level (ideally fasting) by carrying out a quick and simple blood test. We will also advise you on how to reduce risk of developing diabetes, by providing guidance on how to lead a healthier lifestyle. If necessary, we will refer you to your doctor for further tests. A Medicines Use Review is a free NHS service where you can discuss your medications with our pharmacists in a private consultation room. As part of the annual national campaign to vaccinate high risk patients against the flu virus, we offer FREE NHS flu vaccinations in store to eligible patients. If you are not in the target patient group but would still like to get vaccinated, we offer a private flu service too which comes at a small cost. All our vaccines are suitable for vegetarians.

You can take part in the service if you have been prescribed a new medicine for any of the following conditions: asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, or have been given a new blood-thinning medicine. To take opportunity of this service, ask your pharmacist when you get come in with your new prescription.

We will advise on the proper and effective ordering of medicines and appliances as well as their safe storage, administration and proper record keeping.
